Services

G.A.M.E. provides the means for athletic trainers to attend local and regional sporting events where they demonstrate proper pre-game preparation techniques to student-athletes and coaches, which helps prevent injuries from occurring. These techniques include:

  • Taping
  • Stretching
  • Strength Advice
  • Nutritional Advice

Research shows that proper preparation and training play an important role in minimizing injuries. Athletes at schools without training services suffer a significantly higher incidence of injuries than those supervised by an athletic trainer. When looking at the facts:

  • Athletic trainers in high schools can reduce injuries by 41%.
  • Only 12% of high schools have an athletic trainer.
  • 90% of high school coaches polled by USA TODAY would prefer to hire an athletic trainer but are unable to due to bugetary constraints.

In the event of an injury, the student athlete benefits from evaluation and treatment at a state-of-the-art athletic injury clinic, which provides services such as MRI's, x-ray's and surgery (if necessary) at no cost to student-athletes or their family. The clinic additionally provides referrals to physical therapists and other rehabilitation specialists, so that the athlete can return to the playing field as soon as possible. G.A.M.E. also sponsors educational and certification courses for coaches, trainers and students; dedicated to injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
